Paying homage to Yung Kee’s humble beginnings as a dai pai dong (DPD)
Cultural artefacts and antiques hearken back to Yung Kee’s humble origins. Yung Kee had very humble origins as an open-air dai pai dong opened in 1936 by founder Kam Shui-fai. The popular meals of rice topped with roast goose and other barbecued meats, which can still be enjoyed to this day together with various comfort food and light meals in a casual environment in the street-level space.
